The initial ten ZapStands are deployed and active in Frisco, Texas, the fastest growing city in America and a world leader in technology innovation. Over the next 7 years, we will deploy 2,100 ZapStand units across the country.

Each ZapStand unit has patented technologies that make it the instant industry leader in this important market segment.

Targeted for a 20 to 25-year lease with municipalities and their outdoor park systems, ZapStand also has applications at college campuses, city buildings, town centers, and any other place that has increased foot traffic.

ZapStand provides the defibrillator ownership, management, tracking, training, 24-hour video monitoring, remote access control, emergency response handling, and support that is needed to make the most use possible of an AED.

With a 46-inch digital screen on the front, each unit can display city information, and sponsorship messaging/advertising.

The 55-Inch digital screen on the back allows each unit to become a delivery vehicle for additional city information, product usage instructions, and outdoor media sponsorship messaging and advertising. Content will be required to meet city standards.

Communities pay a small one-time charge to lease each unit and pay an ongoing maintenance fee to defray the cost of monitoring. ZapStand maintains a management agreement for the unit. Each ZapStand is corporately sponsored by up to eight secondary sponsors, with any associated revenue accruing to ZapStand.

WHAT IS AN AED?
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a device that checks a person’s heart and delivers an electric shock if it has stopped beating normally.
If a person suddenly collapses, they may be suffering from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). SCA is serious. It means that the person’s heart has stopped pumping blood and they need help fast.
The most important element in the treatment of SCA is to provide a rapid shock to their heart called defibrillation. An automated external defibrillator (AED) helps ordinary people to provide defibrillation quickly.
While we recommend that everyone receive training in CPR and using an AED, AEDs are designed to coach you through the process, even if you haven’t had training. The device determines if a shock is necessary and if it is, a calm, clear voice explains exactly what to do. It actively adapts the instructions to keep you on track. Intelligent sensors assess and automatically deliver the right shock, at the right time ‐ personalized to every man, woman, or child.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest vs. Heart Attack
A heart attack (myocardial infarction) occurs when the heart’s blood supply is reduced or blocked. The heart muscle becomes injured or may start to die. During a heart attack, the victim is conscious. In fact, the victim may complain about symptoms.
An SCA is an electrical problem in the heart which causes the heart to beat in an irregular, inefficient manner. Since the blood can’t circulate to the brain, the victim passes out.
A heart attack victim has a pulse but an SCA victim does not.
You don’t have to remember these distinctions. When the AED instructs you to put the pads on the victim, it will sense the heart rhythm and determine the best steps to take, giving you guidance all along the way.
INTRODUCING ZAPPY
With each deployment of ZapStand in a community, on campus, etc., Zappy™, our animated training tool, will be utilized to help with education about AED’s and the proper usage of them. This reduces the fearfulness inherent with sudden cardiac arrest and provides a key memory marker for the market to rally around in a fun, non-threatening manner.
ZapStand offers a unique way for Sponsors to get their messaging across to the public promoting their brand, special events, etc.
